Autumn LookBook Mini Film

Neef C: This is just a little teaser for my avid bloggers in the blogosphere. Creatively thinking, I embrace videos a lot. Please prepare yourself to feast your starving eyes on a lot more in the future. I need to grab a “Video Editing for Dummies” book so I can cook behind the lens. Smoove job by the man Ovaflow too with the video. We all have a hidden talent waiting to burst in this world of creativity.

League Low. Autumn Lookbook soon come.

Fall Thoughts: The Jungle Boot

Neef C: I was too excited to make this post. First and foremost, lots of love to Young Craig for these excellent photos, we’ve been working with each other to innovate in the art of photography. Seeing exactly what we can do to shed the transparent skins that are seen with everyday style images. My militant brother Brent S and I were subject to making a jungle boot post with the amount of times we wear them though the every changing season of fall. I’ve learned to appreciate the militant garments that were worn by all of those that sacrificed their lives to keep America protected. The jungle boot is a very durable boot that maintains the dry and warm foot that we look for in this season. the canvas and rubber feel brings me to the days i was a boy scout in the woods counting the stars careless-like and skipping rocks in the park lake. Let us take you back to those days whether it was in community organizations, camping vacations with the family, or even serving your country in combat.

Fall Thoughts: Dr. Marten Boots

Mike C: “Dr. Marten Boots” are a traditional and popular British footwear brand that over the last few years has become quite popular in American style & fashion. A stark contrast from the Polo, Uggs & Timberland boots majority of males choose to wear today, “DM’s” stand alone with it’s unique air cushioned sole’s, sleek design & great selection in styles and colors. Besides  the “Original Clark Dessert Boots” Doc’s would have to be my favorite footwear of choice. Myself & newest ACL member Lavan Williams wanted to create a post focusing on the detail of this great boot. S/O to ACL “OG” Hanif Castle with the excellent photography, he is actually becoming a very good photographer. Stay tuned for more “Fall Thoughts” post leading up to our much anticipated 2011 Fall Lookbook.

Fall Thoughts Thrift Film

Neef C: As you move your eyes to the right of the screen to follow the words that I currently type you wonder: Why is this the first time I’m seeing Avid Courtesy League in a “Motion Picture”? Hey, don’t blame us, we’ve been working with a few people to get a video on the page of us and our great league brotha Dj Ovaflow helped with the footage and editing. The Goodwill stores here in Delaware I can say are quite reliable. They have a Tennessee-wide sized variety of rich fabrics, priceless ornaments, and “classic” footwear. My closet is beginning to become a tailored vintage store rather than your casual retailer with all of the item in it that I have purshased over time from the Goodwill. I believe shopping in second hand store is very nerve-wrecking and requires a lot of patience to find the pieces that fit your style or you in general. A few friends from back home actually took me to the thrift a few years ago and love was struck to my heart the moment I walked in. Remembering that you’re thrifting for your specific style is key in a goodwoll because frustration can happen and you’ll loose confidence in your shopping. Check out the fellas and I create a “Thirft Analysis” in the second hand store. We had too much fun.

Hey, don’t judge us with the size of the video lol. I just think that it was cool that it was all made from an iPad 2.

League Low with a smile.

Fall Thoughts: The Bow Tie

Brent S: The greatness of a bow tie is only a matter of opinion, but to brothers like me and O the bow tie is essential to our style. The bow tie can be both leisure and formal attire. The pattern and materials of a bow tie make them unique not all bow ties are made of silk and a polka dot bow tie. Shout out to my man Pee Wee Herman the man who inspired me to wear a bow tie as a young man. The fits of me and brother Ovaflow are unique in there own ways. In many ways bow tie wearers have been looked at with stereotypes attached to them. Some being the professions of the bow tie wearer being a Architects, Physicians, Attorneys, Professors. The bow tie hints at an era of distinguish men with intellectualism in their experience category of their resumes. Todays photos were taken by Brother Hanif I Castle the focus on detail one of ACL’s goals.

INSPIRATION: Interim by The Art of Re Use

Neef C: Maybe its just me but I’ll speak for the league. Sometimes no, usually I feel like we cater to our followers wants with photos of us wearing clothes that everyone like and not think about the content that we write to educate or inspire our oh so great supporters minds. I’m quite large on detail and I have the desire to inform bloggers like us that its easy to take a picture and put it on a website to gain the eye of the chosen few that are known as “hipsters” to make a difference in the blogosphere. Creating something that is essential and true to you in the main purpose. I tell the fellas all of the time that you can’t live without purpose. I’m a firm believer in freewill so life is truly what you make of it. So enough of my preaching and let’s talk style/thrift. Here’s a cool video by The Art of Re use, some of the coolest Canadians on the planet besides The Weeknd. These determined young lads created something from sheer knowledge. They’re creativity is literally bananas. INSPIRING

I hope I touched someone hurt as well as there mind. Let’s begin to make a difference folks

And League Low.
